I think that the part that you circled is part of the cooking hook. The bad news is that this is the weakest link of the Flues model and the part that breaks the easiest. They are almost almost impossible to find. The good news is that a fellow who goes by gungarage on ebay has had a number of them remanufactured and has some for sale at $49 each plus shipping.
