Knew I'd leave something out. The Rod Cockers also have a screw down through the forend into each pocket for the cocking cams. This allows the cocking of the locks to be timed to the exact point desired. These early guns truly merited the name "Compensated" which Lefever applied to them. Plus none of his Compensations were "Counter Productive" as for instance a J-Spring forend compensation.
