Daryl, The combination of a 2 1/2 chamber and a 1 1/4 oz load proof mark is a first for me. At the time that you owned these guns did you measure the chamber depth?.A G70 Greener that I once owned, was marked 1 1/4 ozs max and the chambers measured 2 3/4! The possibility exists that the 2 1/2- 1 1/4 ozs combination was a proof house marking error.
