All things being equal one with bases and mounts is worth a premium over one with empty 3 or 4 "holes". I prefer old ones w/o bases of any kind unless the mounts will accept scope of modern construction and optical performance. Many folks like quality of construction on those old tubes. I mean no windage adjustment, single magnesium flouride coating on external glass surfaces or none at all, nothing left to prevent interior moisture condensation, no parts available.... hey whats not to like about them?
