Redardless of actual cost.

I trust you paid no small sum for the gun and artwork, hope you are pleased!

Dog on bottom pic shows a level of contrast and detail I have not seen before....maybe some high end Italian stuff is similar?

Top pic takes cake though, captured something there.

Looks like dog worth the chisel.

Any stories behind the faces you would care share?

Bestt,
Mark

Mark,
They're not my guns unfortunately.
The engraver is a friend of mine though and in my opinion very good at her job as you noticed.
She sometimes gets asked to just engrave an animal and then the gun goes to a different engraver to put the scroll on.

Best

Owners K9 on bottom of Model 21 in 24k. Done from 2 or 3 snapshot photos provided.

Action still in the white when photo taken.
Pic was quick hand held shot taken for reference only at the time. Shop lite glare slashing thru the pic was not an attempt at a heavenly gaze!

I know its not a SxS, and I know I have posted this pic before, but I'm alwasy promoting Ken Hurst work. This is an SX-1 done for me. Dogs came from below vintage illustration and inserted into the general scene of another vintage illustration called Standing Tall, I believe;
