Chukar hunters have to simultaneously ignore the laws of gravity, thermodynamics, and ballistics. Is it surprising that their prey comes from the home of fanatics? That its favorite food is cheat grass? And grasshoppers? A thoroughly mad sport.
(I have to admit that I used to love chasing chukars in Asotin County WA and the Whitman County Snake River Breaks....).
