Hi all, what can you tell me about this product? The good, the bad or the ugly.

How does it compare to other products like G96?

What does it do for stocks?

Any info would be great!!

All the best!

Greg

As good as it gets, and will not harm wood.

I use Balistol, which is very similar. It can also be used on lock, stock and barrel. Alfred Gallifent liked the smell. He told me it reminded him of his shop at Atkin, Grant and Lang. It also works great to clean the barrels. I have heard the same about Clenzoil.

Hi all and thanks!! I guess what I was wondering is, what does it do for the wood? Does it give it a shine, protect it or what?

Thanks again!!

Greg

All. Gives a sheen. Was talking to the guy at Cabelas who does their internet photos and that is what he uses all over the gun. Bill Hanus highly recommends it.

I never had any rust problems with Clenzoil, but the receiver of a Mauser mod. 66S turned purple. I understand that high nickel content can cause this and maybe no gun oil would have prevented it. Too late to go back and try something different. But I do wonder.

I have been using Clenzoil for about 20 years and will continue using for the remainder of my life. Certainly recommend it!

Well, don't wonder, because Clenzoil did not have one thing to do with your Mauser turning purple and I doubt high nickel content did either. Likely some other content in the steel.
