In case I need to mount a scope on my recently ordered Hi-wall replica, does anyone know the number of a Weaver (or Weaver-type) one-piece base that could be easily adapted to the countour of a #3 profile octagon barrel? I don't want the classic two-piece blocks, since I'm planning (if it turns out my aging eyes won't work with the tang sight) to mount a low-powered, straight-tube scope like a vintage Redfield 2 3/4x or a K3, or a new Weaver V-3 or Burris 4x "Timberline". I like low power, wide field, and generous eye relief.

Is there a similar mount that will accept QD rings so I can switch back and forth between tang sight and scope readily in case the tang sight works for some situations but not for others?

Sorry for the newbie questions from a certified geezer; I'm getting forced into scopes by my eyesight.....
