In hind-sight/20/20, those missed opportunities are difficult to forget.

Friedrich Triebel of Potsdam was probably with the Schilling folk who at Potsdam/Spandau, near Berlin where the money was, made a mint making the 1871 rifle, or some subsequent version. Then in the down time he probably sourced the components or longarm from Suhl and finished it.
