I have been shooting a 16 Husky hammer gun, which I had mentioned in a prior post. Does anyone know if these guns were made in any grade except the plain vanilla version? I havnt been able to find out much about them..........

There are grades to most Husqvarna models. There is also a very nice book, in Swedish, cataloging the models and grades, including the higher graded hammerguns, BLEs and SLEs. Some of us on this board have it. Well worth securing from the author in Sweden if you want to collect Huskys.

I have had a Model 51 for a year or so. You guys got me interested in hammer guns, and the Husky seemed like an inexpensive way to try one out without spending serious money on an English gun. I like shooting it, but it compares rather roughly with a low grade Scott I picked up later. Just my impression...Geo

That 103 C-grade pictured above looks pretty good though.

JohnE...thatHusky 103CS looks like rather nice Gun mate.
I've been, like others hereabouts :),thinking about looking for one....I'd be very happy to find one like that at a reasonable price...
Say, talking of reasonable price..:)...any chance of a rough ballpark price for a nice model like yours..sorry if rude.
What are the other spec's on your Gun...?
Thanks man

I mainly collect Scandinavian antique arms, military and sporting, so I keep a rather close eye on the market. The high grade Husqvarnas hammer guns are somewhat hard to come by in the U.S. So it is difficult to give any type of average price. This one is not in perfect condition and I grabbed it at $1500.00.
I will be taking it out for a little goose hunting this fall. With hopes that the tight chokes will help with my luck.

There is a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with a rolling block hammer action, made by Husqvarna, Sweden in H.M. the Queen,s collection at Sandringham, England. This gun was likely based on the Remington rolling block action. I have also seen a similar gun in privately held Canadian collection.
