You need to consider the upper tier of AyA, such as their Model Augusta O/U, Model 56 S/S and their lighter game gun, Model 53 S/S. These are all special order guns. The Model #1 and #2 are a step down for the sidelocks line and are imported in quantities, and the boxlocks, in my opinion are the commercial hunting line. Probably the Arrizabalaga is the premier Basque gunmaker along with the top tier of Arrietta's line, but AyA can hold their own against the others.
Same with comparing with the Urgartechea line. They make lines from the ordinary hunting model all the way up to a custom sidelock which can hold its own against anything else from Spain or the Continent. So let's compare line against line, not maker against maker. Jim Haynes
