German double with metal buttplate with widow's peak, horn pistolgrip, on the Lefaucheux action from the middle 1880s and more than likely sourced from Sauer as the serial number if Sauer would fall in the early to mid 1880s. Weevils(grain, silverfish or the like) really like the imported horn. And I don't know why but the wood on the forend on those type longarms really suffers. There looks to be some marks on the watertable & I'd ask for additional pics. Seems high.
