Chronologically, the oldest OU design with circular rails instead of pin or trunnions, seems to be the Russian TOZ34, then comes the Caprinus and last the Cynergy, from what I could dig up.
The Pasper has some additional fascinating features. The circular recess in the monobloc seems to be machined before inserting the barrels, this would have simplified machining and maded it viable in older unsophisticated milling machines.
The breech face has a dovetailed insert. The TOZ has a screwed in breech face. Presumably this insert could be replaced with thicker one in case the barrels came off face. It does not seem possible to tighten the circular rails.
There are no ribs, top or sides. Ribs do nothing for a shotgun but provide rust traps and complex repairs.
A search for Pasper brings up a revolver, and a reference that the founder were Italian. I would love to learn more about this gun and its inventor.
My take is that a refined version of this gun, with the top lever replaced by a Ljutic type button, would be an efficient hunting weapon. The production should not cost much either. No self cocking, ejectors, single trigger, ribs etc to up the price.
