The asking price was $550.00 undoubtedly trumped up by the "unique" art work. Carved stocks just aren't my cup of tea, although I've had some German rifles that were done pretty nicely. A close friend has an original Schuetzen rifle that is carved from stem to stern in typical Teutonic fashion, but the real kicker is the engraving scene on the action which is of a baby wearing a top hat, holding what I assume is a bottle of champagne smoking a cigar!!! What the heck is that all about?
