Interesting. Can't ever recall seeing a Repro of any gauge marked Skeet 1 & 2. You need a bore micrometer to measure the constriction. Gives you the bore diameter and the choke diameter. All you do is subtract the latter from the former to get constriction.

The Parker Story reports regarding the Repros: "In 1986 a 28-gauge gun was introduced...New barrel choke disignations--Quail 1 and Quail 2--were added as an option on all gauges. Apparently, these chokes were introduced to appeal to quail hunters. These choke designations were dropped, and Skeet 1 and Skeet 2 chokes were offered in a revised brochure, circa 1988."

Thanks, Greg. That answers the question. The Q 1 & 2 gun I had must've been an earlier one. From what I've seen, however, those open chokes are not very common on Repros of any gauge.
