Oh, I love that grip cap! Really nice.

The highwall is far from done, but she will shoot tomorrow. I spent a big part of today, assembling her. She still needs finish on the stock and checkering too, but the 6-8 coats she has on right now will keep the wood safe. The action is a blank slate. I decided I had to wait until fall to engrave her - or rather, have Ken engrave her.

And in the process, I have an inkling of a unique idea - probably not a good one, but that art-deco shotgun that Ken did got me thinking off the tracks. Not art deco for sure, something 40,000 yr older. Maybe.
