Hardly a stock is made on a double gun that will fit me they all have too much drop.I like more of a trap stock 1 1/4 1 1/8and a lot are 1 3/4.I was talking to a guy that had a Holland and Holland and he said it could be bent up.I didn't think he knew what he was talking about.

Yes, but remember you will "normally" only see 1/4 difference at the comb as to what the bend upward is at the heel due to geometry. e.g. - 1 inch increase at the heel will net 1/4 at the comb, and only slightly more at the face. Your milage may vary.

To an extent, most can be bent (using heat and in a jig) a little, some a little more. Straight stocks with, as Bobby says, English or European Walnut, can be bent the most. American walnuts, especially those with pistol grips, don't yield as much. There are some very good stock men who contribute to this board; maybe they will this time.

Yes, most gunstocks may be bent. Bending depends on the wood structure and the history of the gunstock. History? Has the gunstock been damaged in the past and repaired. If damaged, some of the repairs allow bending.....most do not. Since each gunstock needs evaluation BEFORE the operation, IMO it is best to have your stockmaker evaluate the project first and then proceed.

I have your problem (high cheek bones). As several people have noted, a stock can be bent up, and they unbend or crack sometimes. They can also be built up in various ways, I've seen it done with epoxy varnish, and with a wood insert.

You might do well to look for a gun fitter to be sure what you want is what you need, and in what quantity.

We just bent a stock up two days ago. It was a situation where the stock needed to be bent at least 1/2 inch . We where able to get that 1/2 inch but not much more. Every stock is different some take the bend without difficulty others such as this one need far more coaxing. However in my experience most can be bent about 1/2 inch depending on the wood. Some even more if the stock is cooperative.

No, that is not the question at all. If there is a question, it would be "will it bend back, and if so how much?" Most stocks stay put. How many have you bent Joe? My guess would be Zero......
