I recently acquired one of the little Browning OU double rifles in .270. Someone had a elegant quarter rib and claw mounts installed, but that is a story for another day. My question is, would anyone have any ideas about getting a set of 20 ga barrels and forearm fitted? I am having a hard time trying to get my ahead around trying to find a "clunker" superposed from which to use the barrels. Would appreciate any thoughts on another solution.

I'd check with Midwest Gunworks first.

You know Joe, the "clunker" may not be a bad idea. There are all those "salt guns" out there. Some have pretty trashed receivers but no significant damage to the barrels. And they don't sell for much. Good luck. Jake

Joe, Contact Art's gun shop. The owner Art Isaackson is a former browning employee and he specializes in browning repairs. If he has a set he can also fit them for you.

I had a set of Simmons barrels for a super and they shot fine but were not valued very highly by collectors. If you turn up a 20 gauge it could be the cheap way out.

Joe, I should have known that you scored the wonderful little Browning Express. What a deal. Congratulations.

Check Art's website, he has 2 20 gauge superposed barrels for sale right now. He's currently fitting a set of .410 Diana grade barrels to a 20 gauge Diana "lightly Saltwood" gun that I had sent him. Tell him that Bob from Los Angeles sent you.

Just keep in mind that you may end up with as much money or more in adding a set of barrels to the gun as just buying a decent 20g Super.

Thanks Murph - was a fair trade for both Tony and me. First box I tried, standard old 150 gr power points, gave me 2.5 inches at 100m. Not bad for the first effort.

Chuck, I got it. But I want another set of barrels not another gun.

Bob, I'll give Art a shout and will drop your name all over him. Thanks
