I'm not sure we have the brightest bulbs at the NRA which saddens me. I rejoined and sent a significant donation over three months ago and haven't heard a peep from them since......no magazines, no patches, no window stickers, no literature, no requests for more money........nothing. I've made three phone calls to them to see what's going on with my new membership. Each time I was reassured that everything was proceeding on schedule. I'm glad they aren't running the NICS checks!
I saw Larry Pratt, the director of Gun Owners of America on TV the other day. I thought he was well reasoned and well spoken in his interview with the MSM. He seemed to have a very firm but friendly approach to the 2d in his arguments that I don't usually see when the NRA guys (usually Nasty Wayne)are interviewed.
I don't know anything about GOA except what I have read on their website since seeing the Pratt interview. Anyone here have insites or experience with them personally? Is it worth being a member and is there something there which is above and beyond the NRA?
