'Twould seem to me the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, or perhaps it is the other way around. I am still missing two auction lots I "won" at auction.

I "re-read" the reply you got from your contact, George, and a couple more things strike me. He says it's been almost six months. That quite correct, but, I have been involved at attempting to get this issue resolved since only a couple weeks after the auction ended and it became obvious something was wrong with their invoicing in not including the two missing lots. It's not as though I waited six months and then started. He also states that on moving to Irvine, "we did not move the ammo and all sales at that time were canceled. I never had any notice of any sale being cancelled. Nor did that ever surface in any email or conversation with them since. The person "Carol" to whom he refers would be Carol Watson, and she's the very person I have been corresponding with. She is the C. O. O. of the firm, and she is who told me that "Mr. Martin is not involved in the operation of the company any longer." That quote is lifted straight out of her email to me.
It would appear that they now are trying to spin the story somewhat. The bottom line is that they screwed up and did not deliver two auction lots that I bid on and won, and also that the company is not what it used to be.
I can be perfectly happy buying elsewhere. My point in all this was simply to make others aware of the changes and the problems I have had. That's part of what we do here, let each other know of problems with particular vendors or sources.
Thanks, George, for your efforts. In this case, however, I am still out the approximately 1,200 round of ammo (at a very, very favorable price, I might add) that I would have liked to have. You may be a bigger buyer than I have ever been, and your friend there may be able to give you some degree of personal service I have never had, which is good for you if that's the case. I'll be moving on down the road, however.
Still hope to meet you at one of the Charlton Hall auctions, maybe next time.

I don't know what really happened here, but, when my company screws up, I man up and say, we just made a mistake here, sorry, we will fix it. I can't say Martin is in the wrong, but since they're moving and there is missing lots, well the scales doesent tip in their direction IMHO.

Chief, as a bidder and customer I would not like to be treated like you were. The not very direct answers you got are just not called for. I would assume if they treat buyers in that way, they treat sellers in a similar way. I wonder what they said to the ammo consigner in question. Then the double talk about Greg Martin being "with" or "not with" the new outfit. Something doesn't make sense to me.

Have you considered notifying the Better Business Bureau(both locations) with the particulars about this transaction? This will sometimes work wonders in getting problems resolved. Jim

I don't care to pursue it to a BBB, I'll just resign myself to the fact that somebody messed up and spoiled a really nice buy for me, and then I'll move on. They were good to work with for a long time. I would tend to say that was the influence of Mr. Martin himself, and now that his influence is no longer active, the situation is different. I also wondered about the consignor of the ammunition, there were many lots of it, perhaps over 100 lots. Surely some of it was handled properly and delivered to the winning bidders. Thanks for everyone's input.
