My Sedgley 1903 has a horn non-schabel forend tip, no engraving, and a non-shadow-line pancake cheekpiece. Mine, unfortunately, also shares the typical Sedgley canoe-paddle shape of the belly line and comb. That's the major drawback IMO to the Sedgley rifles, their stocks commonly are simply not shaped in a manner pleasing to my eye. Belly line is too low behind the PG and the nose of the comb is too far forward for good looks, for me anyway.

Do we know how engraving was provided by Sedgley? Did they have an engraver or engravers employed or did the contract outside help?

I don't think the last style was in the catalogs but they have two pages of special order stuff. If you wanted a cheek piece you had to order upgraded wood.
