Mark, does your WR still have strong marks with the triangle and Westley Richards, London on it? The reason I ask is that it can be copied with tape and transferred so that an engraver can refresh the lettering. 1878, I had Borchardt and Hepburn rebarreled and the lettering done by acid etching. It looks reasonably well but not like a roll stamp. There was an aricle years ago about a high grade restoration done on a Hepburn and I believe they had a new stamp made to reletter the side of the receiver. That must have been spendy. Bob

You don’t necessarily have to remark it like it was.

Those rifles look downright weighty to me. Are they, or is that an illustion of the action?

Brent, the last one, I believe is a Jeffery's. They have a more robust action. Those charging woodchuck look a little ferocious though! :>) What happened to the lions or tigers?? Bob

Those woodchucks are pretty cool. The actions, however, look heavy enough for cannons. The lever and all that metal around the trigger, and square corners everywhere - they don't look sleek as I like to think of british firearms. They do look strong as hell however.

Mine wasn't heavy. Balanced in the hand nicely.

Both of these are varmint rifles - the WR is in .222, the Farq is .219 Zipper. Both are Griffin & Howe built. They are fairly heavy, but certainly not more than 10 pounds each. I have not weighed either one.

Bob, I have one with same markings as yours in perfect condition. I could have a pull made if you like. Steve
