Thanks everyone for the compliments. The seam line is about 4 inches in, and the extension that was added on already had some grain pattern in it, so it was just a matter of blending the two together. I used oil paint mixed with tru oil with several clear coats on top. Being an oil painter by profession, this job was right up my alley, and I'm very pleased it turned out well. Battle also did a wonderful job refinishing my Lefever barrels as well, so it was a great experience for me and a win win for both of us.

Those guys on CSI Miami could use some sort of machine that glows blue to scan an image of the gun and then they could type some stuff into a computer and a laser projector would show the gun floating in phantom 3D in the middle of the room to show where the line is. You won't slip anything by them fellers.
