I am in agreement that it looks like a torch job on a fine old E Grade Uncle Dan with rifled barrelled inserts.I once owned a Colt Hammerless SxS chambered for 45-70-401. I presently own a Fox Sterlingworth 12 gaige x 45-70-401. I believe the auction ad misstates it as a cape gun (shotgun x rifle) when it is actually a shotgun converted to a double rifle.
