The rifle is a W.R. BLE 470 which left Brummy for Nairobi in May '54. The letter refers to it as a White Hunter model.
Questions: The WR name is inlaid in gold on each side of the receiver. Does this signify what I've heard referred to as the "Gold Name" model?
If answer to above is yes, was it most likely built by W&S?
Now that my bionic shoulder and I have established perfect regulation, where can I get a front sight installed that won't shear off after 15-20 rounds. I'm requesting a specific source of hi grade dovetail inserts OR 'smith who can install same and perform cleaning/inspection.
