Here's another bar-in-wood by Wm. Powell, with various Powell patents and gold load indicators. Lots of chisel work here, I would guess.

JoJo,
At that price, who cares, I'll have fun fooling with it and looking at it as another sxs one on my wall, and shooting it if the bores aren't too bad.

BTW - I like old and worn-out things like myself...we have a lot in common.
And I almost forgot, the guy I have been hunting with for 40 yrs. and my best friend, is a William M. Powell. It'll be funny when I break that thing out and show it to him. He don't even know such a named gun exists! hahahahaha

BinkO...How do you intend to get around this ?

TO THE ATTENTION OF INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please be advised that as of 11th January 2006, Australia Post banned the carriage of firearms & parts from & to Australia. We have overcome this by shipping in bulk to our representatives in various countries & they in turn will ship the individual parcels directly to you, the international buyer. This Australia Post ruling does not effect parcel post within Australia.

I'll see if I can get a list of these representatives and contact one to see what the charges will be...if too much, I'll pass.

Binko, You shouldn't have much trouble getting a gun out of Oz and into the US. I brought two nitro (post 1898) guns from Oz into the US, one in late 2006 and one in 2008 with no problems. There are several companies willing to do this for you for a small fee. I also believe you are able to act as your own importer for one gun per year for your own use (not for resale).
