Well, what do you think a good price would be...considering it is a Purdey?
I've got enough hammer guns but no bar-in-wood type, so that's going to be my next purchase. I am not going to compromise on that
point, but brand is not important.

Bar in wood...very cool no doubt about it. I'm sure you probably already know this, but you better hope the gun you finally decide on has no stock issues. I had a conversation with a English stockmaker (former H&H guy) about what a pain the a.s.s. these things were to work on and restock. Very expensive undertakings the both.
