No need to, so I didn't comment on Barnett's prices. I simply observed that your attempt to compare guns that aren't comparable couldn't yield any valid conclusions.
Let's say there is a difference in market value, considering this, would a 20's H&H be worth 5 times the price of an 1890's if the condition of each was equal?
Might be a little high, but it's in the ballpark.
I doubt it, and that leads to the obvious next question which is, is the price on SB's 2 H&H's too high or not??? That is the question, so please address that point and let's not get into what someone that really fell in love with the gun would pay for it, cause that same scenario applies to mine. Let's stick to a normal person looking to purchase a best gun for him or herself to have the prestige of owning one of the top 3 sxs's in the world, brand exclusive?
Now, is his price too high or not??? I think it is, you may not, and, in that case, we'll just have to agree or dis-agree, ok?

High condition pre-war Royals trading in the 30s are common. Those are Barnett's asking prices and, I'm sure, are somewhat negotiable. I think they're a little high, especially so the game gun, but not a great deal. Certainly not as overpriced as yours is.
