Joe- they are called squab in some circles. I've been an avid barn pigeon shootist since I was a knee-high lad with me 20 gauge Model 12- Old timer went through the Depression era- taught me to squeeze the rib cage- if it springs back, it's a young and tender bird-if not- into the dumpster it goes. My Dr. is a pigeon racer- I once brought him in a cigar box of bird bands from defunct pigeons I had shot one summer-apparently they have a code just like the Federal migratory leg bird bands- should be fun, and weather be damned--thanks for the post Destry-see you there--
