Bob, I am not incensed with the prices or the free market system at all. If I wanted, and I don't, to sell one of the 12 gauge AHE Parkers my GrandFather left me, I can ask $40,000 for it (about double what I have seen 12 gauge AHE's with two triggers go for-Meriden mfg. of course) on various sites and on dealer's lists such as Chadick and Puglisi- you don't have to agree, but as it is my gun, my choice. The free market will tell me I might be crazier than a craphouse rat- or some "Greater Fool Rule Follower" who can't live without such a escopeta might actually pay it- as did Mr. Puglisi with his "Hammer Time" bid for the Czar of Russia's A-1 Parker a few years ago at a James D. Julia site. My old gun dealer and friend Bill Jaqua always advise- never invest in a gun you can't afford to keep-and I believe in that-I sold a beat up but still shootable 12 gauge HE Fox last Fall to a guy who had been pestering me to buy it for 3 years-he paid-willingly-about double what it might bring from again, a look at dealers listings and possibly the over-rated Fijestad Blue Book Of Gun Values-anyway, if I see a car or a double at a high price- IMO-I have the right to comment without being viewed as not "following Mom's advice- the world of e-com and "Me First" has trampled over those words from a long ago age-if you don't believe me, watch a rerun of the ABC John Quinnoes special from last night- 80 people went by a homeless man who had fallen to the sidewalk in broad daylight, the only one who helped was a semi-retarted street lady who lived in a nearby homeless shelter, and is crippled somewhat- she finally got a passing lady to call 911 on her cellphone- that's our rude world of today Bob-I'm sorry I don't like it either-but you don't know me from Adam's off ox- nor I do you- "Judge not, lest yee be judged yourself" ain't bad advice either- but not from "Mom's Cafe" or "Alice's Restaurant" either- RWTF
