Mr. Larry DelGrego Senior and Mr. Robert Runge built dozens of upgraded Parkers with rib legends that misname the type of steel in those barrels. Almost all of those guns are either signed or are so obviously upgrades that the barrel legend is to be taken as decorative rather than a statement that the steel is what is engraved on the rib. Yes, it was engraved by Mr. Runge, not roll stamped as is original on most. Yesterday, I saw one of these guns advertised at $69,000.00, about as much as an original would sell for. These upgraded Parkers are not an attempt to deceive, nor is Claudio's tastfully done Fox. I know a little about upgraded Parkers and Foxes and all this discussion is pointless and plain nasty. Sorry, it is early and I don't have my vocabulary in gear. My friend Silvers does not build guns that will be confused with originals, nor has Claudio. If they want to mark their barrels Whitworth, more power to them. Now I will join Frank and Claudio and be "out of here". Murphy
