He is a bad as we had feared and with Eric Holder there to lead the way it could get worse. They dont even understand what "Cop Killer Bullets" and the Assault Weapon ban are. They only understand their zealousness to promote their distorted programs.

I talked with an irate trucker today who said that within the just passed bailout bill is a very large ammunition tax (along with many other taxes that will affect us even if we don't make over $250,000 per year). Has anyone heard anything about that? I also did my best to warn everyone I could about the Obama Mafia. Some pooh-poohed me and even called me paranoid. I get very little comfort or satisfaction from having been right. It is somehow very sad that so many grown adults thought they could elect a socialist liberal anti-gunner and get conservative fiscal policy and respect for the constitution. Bush got ripped for trashing the constitution but, and maybe I'm misinformed, I didn't know the U. S. constitution conferred rights upon non-citizen muslim terrorists who wouldn't know the Geneva Convention if it was stitched to their suicide bomb vest. Obama, Kennedy, and Schumer expressed outrage over some Guantanimo prisoners being photographed with underwear on their heads, but were silent when kidnapped Americans were videotaped being beheaded. They are lying scum and there is no pit in hell deep enough for them.
Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

I asked before and I will ask again. I would really like to know why anyone here voted for BHO? I honestly want to understand why and how. No one responded to my first inquiry. I know its a secret ballot, but isnt there anyone that will say why they did.

I did notice that elected Dems (unlike the appointed and racist Holder) are not interested in losing their jobs over guns, again.
Pelosi tanked Holder's AWB bull$#!t late yesterday saying we need to enforce the laws we have. Wierd but true.

The tinfoil hat crowd has been right all along. Every man, woman and child living now or in the future has been sold down the river by this man. The plan to deconstruct America is alive and well. I see a tax revolt and martial law by this time next year. Getting out of Iraq, will put more troops on our streets - that plus the Civilian Security Force will put down the American dream for once and all. We've been [censored] slapped!

Here is what Holder stand has been on the second amendment.Fore those on here that voted for him and are only "obsessed with doubles" he draws no line that protects your guns and not many of ours!!!
"Eric Holder on firearms policy: Earlier this year, Eric Holder--along with Janet Reno and several other former officials from the Clinton Department of Justice--co-signed an amicus brief in District of Columbia v. Heller. The brief was filed in support of DC's ban on all handguns, and ban on the use of any firearm for self-defense in the home. The brief argued that the Second Amendment is a "collective" right, not an individual one, and asserted that belief in the collective right had been the consistent policy of the U.S. Department of Justice since the FDR administration. A brief filed by some other former DOJ officials (including several Attorneys General, and Stuart Gerson, who was Acting Attorney General until Janet Reno was confirmed)took issue with the Reno-Holder brief's characterization of DOJ's viewpoint.
But at the least, the Reno-Holder brief accurately expressed the position of the Department of Justice when Janet Reno was Attorney General and Eric Holder was Deputy Attorney General. At the oral argument before the Fifth Circuit in United States v. Emerson, the Assistant U.S. Attorney told the panel that the Second Amendment was no barrier to gun confiscation, not even of the confiscation of guns from on-duty National Guardsmen.
As Deputy Attorney General, Holder was a strong supporter of restrictive gun control. He advocated federal licensing of handgun owners, a three day waiting period on handgun sales, rationing handgun sales to no more than one per month, banning possession of handguns and so-called "assault weapons" (cosmetically incorrect guns) by anyone under age of 21, a gun show restriction bill that would have given the federal government the power to shut down all gun shows, national gun registration, and mandatory prison sentences for trivial offenses (e.g., giving your son an heirloom handgun for Christmas, if he were two weeks shy of his 21st birthday). He also promoted the factoid that "Every day that goes by, about 12, 13 more children in this country die from gun violence"--a statistic is true only if one counts 18-year-old gangsters who shoot each other as "children."(Sources: Holder testimony before House Judiciary Committee, Subcommitee on Crime, May 27,1999; Holder Weekly Briefing, May 20, 2000. One of the bills that Holder endorsed is detailed in my 1999 Issue Paper "Unfair and Unconstitutional.")
After 9/11, he penned a Washington Post op-ed, "Keeping Guns Away From Terrorists" arguing that a new law should give "the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms a record of every firearm sale." He also stated that prospective gun buyers should be checked against the secret "watch lists" compiled by various government entities. (In an Issue Paper on the watch list proposal, I quote a FBI spokesman stating that there is no cause to deny gun ownership to someone simply because she is on the FBI list.)
After the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the D.C. handgun ban and self-defense ban were unconstitutional in 2007, Holder complained that the decision "opens the door to more people having more access to guns and putting guns on the streets."
Holder played a key role in the gunpoint, night-time kidnapping of Elian Gonzalez. The pretext for the paramilitary invasion of the six-year-old's home was that someone in his family might have been licensed to carry a handgun under Florida law. Although a Pulitzer Prize-winning photo showed a federal agent dressed like a soldier and pointing a machine gun at the man who was holding the terrified child, Holder claimed that Gonzalez "was not taken at the point of a gun" and that the federal agents whom Holder had sent to capture Gonzalez had acted "very sensitively." If Mr. Holder believes that breaking down a door with a battering ram, pointing guns at children (not just Elian), and yelling "Get down, get down, we'll shoot" is example of acting "very sensitively," his judgment about the responsible use of firearms is not as acute as would be desirable for a cabinet officer who would be in charge of thousands and thousands of armed federal agents, many of them paramilitary agents with machine guns."
Holder is dangerous and is now the head of the BATF,he will make the Reno era look like a cake walk. _________________

Brian, I'll guess why there's been no answer. I may be a mile off because I don't know what latitude the US military provides for public engagement in politics.
When my father was waiting for a boat to come home from the war he campaigned in his air force uniform for Churchill's candidate---against military rules.
He got away with it because the war was over, he had a good record, was one of the organizers of The Great Escape, and one helluva guy.
Maybe no replies is because members here don't want you to put your foot in it.

I suspect the fools that voted for him have their heads in the sand and skip over these posts as they don't have the stugats to stand up for their fellow gun owners.
BTW I I stated in another thread your way over estimating the "beloved president" the community organizer really is.Rasmussen has him dropping like a rock in the polls and those of us who have 401 K's will be doing the WTF's when the open them up this Qtr.

Hardly, Kingsley.............
Those sorry individuals from amongst us that likely voted for Obama could care less if a military man "stuck his foot in it". What ARE you drinking for breakfast this morning to be so misguided?
These same posters were the ones, pre-election, that stated the bulk of us here were completely paranoid...... Obsessed-with-Doubles-, P-Mag, Grouse Guy, come to mind and I'm blanking on a number of the others. I, too, wish they'd now stand up and be as vocal as they were before re: their presidential pick and why we were silly to think he'd be coming after firearms. We'd be very interested to hear from them, but we do need to take into account their conspicuous absence as of late.
And I may as well say this before the next poster asks us to remove this drivel to the 'MisFire' forum: Topics of this importance/magnitude need the full exposure of this particular 'general' forum.....not shuttled to the deep recesses of doublegunshop.bbs where the viewing hits are miniscule compared to this location. I just hope Dave W. can see it that way, and allow this thread to remain here. Remember, if you don't care for the thread, simply skip over and, read what does interest you!
Running out of patience,
Rob Harris
