We hashed this all over during the election process and those of us who said this was going to happen were told we were imagining things. According to the naysayers who post here; Obama said over and over he believed in individual gun owner rights but with "sensible gun laws". The problem with him is he's never yet seen a gun law yet that isn't "sensible".
Our only hope is that the Democrats that suported the original "Assault Weapons Ban" will remember what happened in the mid-term elections during the Clinton years. Any way you look at it; It's going to be a very long and difficult 4 years.

"Show me one time Obama stood up for gun owners" question during the election process.Well the chickens have come home to roost !
Of course those that voted for BHO will ignore the elephant in the room and we will proceed down the road to a "citizen of the world" country.
BTW don't forget to thank,with strong force,those amoung us who where so stupid to vote for for "the one" !!!!

In the middle of a DEEP recession..... do these idiots really realize HOW MANY PEOPLE THIS BAN WILL PUT OUT OF WORK....,nobody talks about that......IT'S A FAIRLY LARGE NUMBER......! Their rational is way out of whack......they need to concentrate their control on the inner cities where most of the firearm violence takes place...with illegal guns I might add.......about 85-90 percent anyway.....what part of that don't these dummies understand ?

From AZ GFD, today: The recent reports of increased firearms and ammunition sales across the nation set a positive note for upcoming shooting events and outdoor shows in Arizona despite the nation’s challenging economic downturn, said Arizona Game and Fish Department officials.
According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, firearms sales in the nation jumped 28.8 percent in January, for a variety of reasons.
In addition, Winchester previously announced that ammunition sales were up 18 percent in the last quarter of 2008 compared to the previous year. So, not everyone was fooled.
