400 Nitro Express Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 433 Lone Star State	Brian: CIP Max Average Pressure for the .450/.400 3" NE is 2800 BAR/40,610 PSI. My understanding is that Hornady's factory ammunition operates at 5 - 7% below that. I don't know what to tell you about SAAMI standard for the .405 Win. Too much conflicting data. Hornady says their factory ammunition runs around 40,500 PSI. "Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."
