Can you tell us some more? Single shot or repeater? What is the scope? Any maker information? Barrel length and diameter at muzzle? Weight? Bore condition? Exterior condition (wood and metal)?

If the new owner is interested you may tell him I have a complete Ideal 310 reloading set for the Lovell R2 (22-3000 G&H) for sale, just needs a new decapping pin from Lyman. In the original box with instruction sheet. recoil@optonline.net

If anyone is nutty enough to build a new R2 Lovell, Risley's original chambering reamer is in the hands of Russell Gilmore, a 22-3000 nut in Walkill, NY.

The 22-3000 Lovell and the 2R Lovell are not the same. Around 1934 Harvey Lovell developed the 22 Lovell or 22-3000. Around 3 years later he developed the 2R-Lovell, an improved version. When the supply of cases ran out Griffin & Howe had amunition made for them by Winchester, head stamped G&H 22-3000. The 22-3000 G&H and the 2R Lovell are the same cartridge.

I checked and Rd is correct, the R-2 is a wildcat based on a wildcat.
