I have conversed with this gentleman for over 3 months now. At the last Louisville show is where I met him. He had a Parker D grade on a 1 frame for 1350.00. At the time I didn't have the cash, so I had to walk. But before I did I took his card. This is just a hobby for him and has collected a numerous quanity of doubles and other guns over the years. I called him up in hopes that he still had the Parker, no luck. But he told me what he did have and he would hold them for my inspection at the next show. So I'm not obligated in any way. I'll have my wall thickness gauge with me and some help from a few friends to comb over the two guns. But if they are solid no cracks in wood, not too much pitting in bores and if guns are original I expect to buy them.
If I remember correctly he trade that Parker for a Browning Citori and a Weatherby rifle. If he was asking 1350.00 I think he done well? The Parker was just okay, needed to be cleaned up and maybe a reblue of the damascus but other than that it would have been a super shooter.
Cheers,
