King,
while your observation that "injecting colour, religion or ethnicity does nothing for the integrity of this board" may be sage advice; why is it not allowed to quote a news source? Is it because this is a basiclaly concervative forum? I mean conservative in general terms of outlook and acitivites, not politics.
The "slur" you are referring to was written about BHO by a columnist in the LA Times, the left coasts verison of the NY Times. The title of the editorial in the LA Times, March 19, 2007 is "Obama the 'Magic Negro; The Illinois senator lends himself to white America's idealized, less-than-real black man."
The LA Times is a very liberal rag. funny how it is okay for the Left to use these terms but if anyone else repeats it, the term is now bad (racist). Liberal hypocrasy. As soon as a phrase is turned, it becomes forbidden. And of course, by throwing out the allegatiuon of racism, the disocurse is usually shut down immediately, a good and common censorship technique of the left.
This goes back to the rap culture, culture of the inner city wherein those who are in it can use the N word, degrade women, speak of unfettered violence against authority, the establishement and whites, yet when taken to task, its okay for them to use these terms becuase they "earned the right".
I find it interestuing that back in the 70's there were protests about referring to Canadians as Canuks here in the US. Politicos got in trouble for using the C word. But you had your own brand of ammunition called CANUK!!!!
