If you do a google patent search for patent 289132 you will see it is assigned to Joseph Petmecky on November 27, 1883. I have the Budd patent number in my notes somewhere, just havent found it yet and somehow the 2 tie together.

Look at patent numbers 399452 and 450323, they are ones assigned to Tomlinson and are the fore runners of the Tomlinson cleaner that you have. Something keeps telling me I'm missing one more number assigned to Tomlinson but will keep checking my notes. Those Tomlinson cleaners were made by BGI (Bridgeport Gun Implement Co), Union Hardware Co. and Outers. The Outers cleaner had metal screen holders whereas BGI and Union Hardware had wooden ones.
