Sorry about that. My post was not meant to be directed at you personally.
I'm just frustrated that this even happened. I wonder how the sportsman who were duped by Obamamania feel now? Not just about guns, but the whole "amatuer hour" first couple of months. Let's just slap victims of terrorism in the face and close Gitmo. Let's pick a cabinet of crooked Clinton re-treads, tax cheats and lobbyist. Let's force a bad stimulus bill on America that will fail and only add to the problems. What happened to the promise that Congress would get a chance to read it? Whoops, got to vote on it now, Congress is going on holiday and Princess Pelosi has to fly on her rock star quality jet to accept an award from Italy. Change we can believe in. Yeah right.
Think mid-terms. And steal their slogan "Yes, we can!" Vote Conservative and for freedom.

With all due respect, the annointed one's laws aren't the only one's making it down the pike. Check out HR 197, a national right to carry law, which, if passed, would allow for concealed carry in all states, regardless of whether the state has a concealed carry law. Montana is considering several laws related to "Castle Doctrine" concepts, and it looks as if these will pass. Minnesota will likely get a re-write of the law stating hunting firearms have to be transported unloaded and cased in the trunk of the vehicle-you could transport unloaded and uncased in the vehicle. The state is looking to reduce "tension" between DNR officers and the public, a great move, IMHO. Right in Nancy P's backyard, the San Francisco public housing gun ban went straight down the drain. Will NOT be reconsidered, any time soon. Too bad, Gramma P. The gun banners will have their work cut out for them. Talk of public unrest in the streets, is just that. John Q Public, even in tough times, understands his neighbors are a mostly armed lot. I think he will sell his boat and snowmobiles before he chooses to runs amok in broad daylight. Best, Ted

Do you really think (A) Obama is at his desk, pen in hand, waiting to sign HR 197, or (B) HR 197 will pass by a veto-proof majority? 53% of this country drank the Kool-Aid so now we must suck it up and do all we can until the mid term elections to minimize the damage that this crowd will do to our gun rights. This includes calling, writing and e-mailing our elected reps and letting them know in no uncertain terms that we will be watching their actions on gun control and holding them accountable by both voting and campaigning against them if they in any way support it. Then we must either join NRA or make donations, if already members, to make our point. I think the annual dues for a new member is a lousy $25.00, and that gives you 12 magazines to read and then pass around or leave in the rack at the doctors office. You'll pay at least that much to transfer a shotgun to your own kid if this crowd has it's way. Then it will get worse.

Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

I'm still waiting to figure out who my elected congressman is! But, once that is sorted, of course, he will be contacted. The NRA stuff is always pertinent, no doubt-but, 10 short years ago, the hope for concealed carry in my state was non-existant. Things have changed. The idea that I could carry my 360PD on a trip across Wisconsin, a state with NO PROVISION for concealed carry, even retired law enforcement, seems wonderful to me-my drivers license works there, after all, why not my carry permit? We will see what the annointed one has in store. I voted for the honerable John McCain, and he still serves. I have faith in the process, still, if not all the players. We serve beer at my house, no kool-aid, and I suppose that is still true in most of the country. Best, Ted

Well, 47% of us don't drink Kool-Aid... unless you believe that ACORN and the Democrats would have dead folks voting... multiple times. It is funny how Al Franken keeps coming up with more votes as time passes. Still counting after 3 months. Gawd you have my sympathy. Did Minnesota subcontract the voting to the Bulgarian Board of Elections?

The Supreme Court slammed the door in the faces of the gun grabbing city mayors but left a window open with their 'Reasonable restrictions' phrase they inserted into their ruling. Reasonable restrictions huh, I wonder what that means.

I am curious , would any BBS'r be man enough to admit they voted for BHO and explain why they would willingly and knowingly vote for the most anti gun president in history?
I would like to hear their logic as it confounds me as to why anyone would who cherishes their guns, hunting, constitutional rights etc. would do this. I know, I will be accused of being a one issue voter. But the reality is that if a man wont support all of the amendments of the bill of Rights, then he will be selective with the others also sooner or later. Heck, look how they are gogin to re-establish the Fairness Doctrine (CENSORSHIP). so, tellme again why you voted for BHO?
FWIW: Once BHO stated that the surge in Afghanistan was on hold, we had a crap load of bombings here in the capitol of Kabul. Hmmm. Nah, the Taliban didnt see that as a sign of weakness and become emboldended by that .

Believe me ,Thorny, there are many seated dems in Washington that are loath at the thought of Stuart being elected.
I know, as well as anyone, commercial beer was taken from us, once. It didn't last long. Thats why I say I have faith in the process, if not always the players, and that we serve beer at my house. The players come and go, the process of peaceful revolution, every four years, hasn't.
Think long and hard about the San Fransisco Public Housing gun ban being slammed in Granny Pelosi's face, brothern'-things are not as dark as they appear. The federal nation wide concealed carry reform bill is going to be damn hard to argue against from a constitutional, or states rights point of view, regardless of political leanings.
Hope my vote for Norm wasn't misplaced, the guy sure needs all of them, now.
Best, Ted
