Mines a pint? Mines are usually planted sub-surface and detonated either by ground pressure from above the surface, or by a bottom fitted pressure device, spring loaded (similar in principle to a collapsed circuit detonator in an electrical fused IED)- and they did come in many sizes, going back to the War of Northern Aggression era- My hero CSA ge, N.B. Forrest often mined the path or trail behind is departing troops to wreak havov on the Union laddies following- Limpet mines and anti-sub mines are a whole 'nother "ballgame"- As they say in EOD- "You only get one mistake in this unit"!!
