Thanks for the input on the FEG guns guys! I understand that the FEG pistols are highy regarded, but have not been able to find much info on FEG long arms. it appears they are now out of business.
The (used) FEG shotgun that I have on order is one of a batch recently imported from Europe by Tradex, a very reputable Canadian firm. The photos and description supplied by Tradex indicate that it is an older gun, but very robust and in very good condition.
