Stallones,

I have all those books and a few more. Gadisseur's research is very good. The 1st two are a collection of selected catalogs. These type of books are very common in France and Belgium. The third is a Who is Who of Belgian makers.

The 4th is by Gaier, very expensive if you find an English edition, which is a poor translation at that. I have several of his other books. He also produced a major history of FN. His 4 centuries of gun maker and the later 5 centuries really do go into depth on the culture, history and interactions.

Druart who wrote the book on Pieper also worked with Gadisseur, both are known to Alain at LittleGun. Druart's book is ok, but I felt it could have been more. The problem is Pieper produced so much and was so instrumental to the growth of the Belgian gun trade. To do justice would require multiple volumes.

To really dig in requires a least a reading knowledge of French.

Many years earlier, Joe Vorisek produced a similar work to the Who is Who book. The list sounds like my friend Marc...
