I have several LC Smiths. One has barrels that ring link a tuning fork. Others ring like church bells and others less than that. I don't worry about any one them. If fact, the barrels which ring the least are on a 32" Long Range. Those barrels are longer and a little heavier than the others which might be a factor in the dull ringing. That did not stop me from having the gun refreshed.

You might think about a second opinion from a gunsmith that specializes in SxS's.
