Hi all, I just received a gun that I bought thru the net and she is not what I expected. The left ejector will not work and a times the right one will not. Both don't work when both bbls are fired. Also, there is a 1/4" gap in the stock by the trigger guard. This is the first gun I'll have to send back to a seller.

My question is, what is the procedure for doing this?

I know I'll have to contact the seller and I'm out the shipping and FFL fees, but the gun is now in my name. What do I have to do to ship the gun and get it out of my name?

Thanks for any advise you can provide.

All the best!

Greg

If the seller was an FFL holder you dont have to go through your ffl to send back. A non FFL holder can transfer a gun to an FFL in another state. I dont have the reg here but it has been posted here on the board numerous times.

The big question is why did you go through with the tranfer if all of these things were wrong. The 1/4" gap you would have seen doing the visual. the ejectors, well maybe not until you shot it but snap caps would have told you that. Have you notified the seller within the 3 day inspection period. what did he say.
Live and learn. I still am.

Hi Brain, I did know about the gap, which is no big deal, it was larger than I thought, but I had to pick the gun up before work and didn't have any snap caps until I got home last night. This is day two and I'm going to talk to the seller today. Will keep you posted.

Thanks!

Greg

Had to do it a couple of times.

You don't need an FFL. Send it to the seller's FFL if he is not one. The gun will be registered back in his name when he picks it up at the FFL.

However, I keep all copies of emails (whick are legal documents)and the shipping receipts that state to whom it is being sent.

Also, insure the gun.
