I see where your coming from, but don't presume for a minute that I or other "layman" dont know what good/fantastic/best stockwork looks like. I know what it looks like just as well as you do. I see no difference in the quality of Paul Hodgins work when compared to work by either Doug Mann or Dennis E. Smith and others.....just a HUGE price difference. And that is fine...its all about what a person is willing to pay, and if Paul has clients that want their Purdey or Holland stocked by him and they can pay him, thats their choice and thats great, I'm just saying there are other less costly options out there without sacrificing the overrall quality of the work. Now, I'm sure that will ruffle the feathers of some, but thats the way I see it.
