Gimme a break. To restock it would do nothing to decrease the value of that gun....if you kept the original stock and forend. The restock would not mess with anything, it would just have new wood. Who is quoting 8k to restock a shotgun??? Now that is ridiculous, when you have ACGG members who charge around 2-3k for a sidelock restock...and you all have seen the work that ACGG guys do, they are fully capable, just as capable, if not more so than the old codger who built the orignal stock at Scotts. If it were mine, it "wood" be getting new "wood" and that abomination of trap stock would get wrapped in paper and twine, boxed up and put away for good (jOe should get the same treatment, wrapped up in paper and twine, boxed up and put away ).
