Not exactly the fate I would prefer, even for a lower grade gun. There must be another site where you can ask these questions. I think I'll hang out on a CAS site for awhile and look for a nice high condition bar in wood Westley.

I bet he could chop the barrels off stamp it "Wells Fargo" and get a small fortune for it...I'm sure George L has a comparable gun for at least 12 to 15 hundred.

But, sadly, the cat is out of the bag on WF guns. Guess I will just have to play the fantasy game and leave it at that. Seems a fitting way to allow a clunker and wall-hanger to continue to lead [lead?] a productive life.

Dearest Homeless: To my knowledge I have never sold a gun as a result of this forum. I have sold many through GunsAmerica and Guns International. If I ever do sell one from this forum most certainly I will send Dave $10.00. Perhaps you would like to purchase one for your collection. I believe I have a 311 laying around somewhere. I'd rather be invested in 311's than all those English sewer pipes yer pushing on your site.
I do find it hard to believe out of all the guns you have sold that none were sold as result of your free advertising on here.

Gentlemen. A little decorum, please (Classical reference). Seems I have opened a can of worms and one of you keeps eating them!  But seriously, I find it odd that some of you (and you know who you are) just poo poo anybody who darkens your cyber-doorstep with an "unworthy" SxS. Some people have more time and money than manners, I guess. I was raised better. I will admit that other than a real fine Husqvarna Model 103AS and the orphan Webley 10 bore, most of my SxS guns are for basic journeyman shooting and get knocked around a bit. Which is why I don't go in for the high-dollar guns - that and I don't make enough money for that. But for the entry-level collector and vintage doublegun shooter, I think George L. has some great pieces for sale. And, heck, if he finds a good solid beater that could be bobbed w/o offending the elitists, I would pay the $10 to Dave. Uh, I actually don't know who Dave is, but his name has been bandied about there.
