If your gun has a doll's head rib extension, it is very similar to the 1914 W&S catalogue Figure #173. If it has a round third bolt in a rib extension, then similar to Figure #175. The engraving pattern is a little bit different, but still has many similarities. This gun is likely older as both catalogue Figures have steel barrels. All said, I'm pretty sure this is the base gun. It could have been sold in the white and finished up by Northcote (if he was a gunmaker) or simply bought in as a finished product. There are enough guns known to believe that he could have ordered in sufficient quantity to get some individual changes as to name and engraving.
