Thanks everyone for your replies. This is a L.C. Smith with a straight hand grip. Trigger guard looks like it stretched by welding. The nose of the comb isn't shaped like the Springfield, nothing too distinctive about it. Most unique feature is that the buttstock is very slim and trim. I'll try to get a pic or two to post.
