That may be true, Greg, but that's not what he said. I think he has, as he said, a pad that was represented as a #3 Silvers. I use the G&H Silvers Repro, have for more than 20 years, and have never had a bad one.

Thanks again for your inputs.
I need to include some additional information to clearly state what pad I have.
CSMC/Galazan currently advertises the following Silver/Silvers type pads:
1. S. W. Silver #3 Red Pad "this is a liquidation of a special closeout offer"
$50.00.
2. Correct Period Pad "is exactly like pre-World War ll Silvers pad"
$35.00
3. Original Silver Pad
$75.00
I purchased the #1 pad thinking it was a good deal on an original Silver Pad. As I stated it is marked Silver Co #3.

Thanks Fox for clearing up any misread or misunderstood details.

All the best!

The G&H pad is pretty big, but it is the best solid red pad I've ever used, including the original Silvers. The list them at $35 on their website.

Update:
Sent a letter and photos to Galazan last night at approximately 7pm PST. When I logged on this morning at approximately 7am PST I opened an email from Galazan stating: "We will send you out another one today."
Unbelievably fast response. If the next pad is good I will still wonder how they had two (2) bad pads in stock but impress- ed with how quickly they handle customer problems.

Could be that this problem is the reason for the "special closeout offer"?
I have used the Silvers repro pads from Jeff's Outfitters without any problems. Probably from the same maker as CSMC's Period Correct Pad.
